Trademarks
Trademark may be registered for a sign, which may be graphically represented and is capable of distinguishing goods and/or services in a course of trade.
In Slovenia trademark may be registered with national or international application. The term of a national trademark is 10 years from local filing date and may be renewed.
The application shall include applicant’s exact name and address, exact spelling of the mark or print of the mark, list of goods and/or services according to the Nice classification. A trademark application my cover several classes of goods and / or services.
Paris convention priority may be claimed (6 months).
Power of attorney is required and may be filed later.
Slovenia is member of Madrid agreement and Madrid protocol.
