Patents shall be renewed annually on the national filing date (national applications) or international filing date (PCT, EP). Late payment of annuities is normally available within six months grace period with surcharge.

Patents registered upon national patent application

The first three annuities are paid with the national patent application filing fee.
The fourth annuity, and every further shall be paid before expiration of the previous one.

Patents extracted from PCT application

The first three annuities are paid with the national phase filing fee. The fourth annuity, and every further shall be paid before expiration of the previous one.

Granted European Patents extended to Slovenia

The first three annuities are paid with the regional phase filing fee.

For such patents the first annuity, due for payment in Slovenia is the one that falls due immediately after date of publishing of EP grant decision.
